Rules about Resignation, Suspension, Expulsion and Readmission.
Resignation according to the rules
A member may resign according to the rules at any time. To be deemed ‘according to the rules’, the resignation must be notified in writing to the GMMQ.
The resignation becomes effective upon receipt of the notice.
A member may not resign if he owes money to the GMMQ.
No refund of any subscription fees or annual dues will be considered.
If the resigning member is registered to pre-authorized debit (PAD) for the payment of his annual dues, he must continue the PAD until the end of the current year or pay the remaining balance at the time of resignation.
Suspension
The annual membership dues are payable on January 1st of each year.
A member whose dues are unpaid after March 30 shall be suspended.
A late fee of $15 will be charged after March 30.
Expulsion
A member who fails to comply with the Code of Ethics or the General By-laws shall be expelled, subject to appeal before the Board of Directors.
A member whose regular membership dues remain unpaid for more than six months shall be expelled.
Readmission
A former member may once again become a Regular member of the GMMQ at any time.
A member who has been suspended and wishes to reintegrate the GMMQ shall pay a $15 late fee in addition to the amount of the annual dues.
An expelled member shall be readmitted upon payment of $130 readmission fee in addition to the annual dues applicable at the time of reintegration.
A resigning member who wishes to reintegrate the GMMQ must pay a $ 45.00 subscription fee in addition to the annual dues. However, if the resigning member wishes to reintegrate the GMMQ before the end of the year during which he resigned, he/she must pay the annual dues for the full year in addition to a $ 15.00 late fee.
