GMMQ deplores the decision of the Supreme Court of Canada

12.20.2012 - On February 9, the Supreme Court of Canada refused to recognize the Internet Service Providers (ISPs) as broadcasters subject to the Broadcasting Act. These are only seen as entities that provide only the means of transmission and are therefore not subject to the Canadian Broadcasting Act.

Grants of the Music Promotion Fund

02.08.2012 - Calling for application for the grants of the Music Promotion Fund Fonds is now opened. Members of the GMMQ have until Septembre 10, 2012 to submit their application. An amount of $ 1 500 is allocated for this fiscal year and will be distributed within the selected projects.

2011: a positive year!

The year 2011 was auspicious in term of achievements for the Guilde des musiciens et musiciennes du Québec. Financial health was restored, an action plan over three years was adopted, a number of members constantly increasing, negotiations leading to favorable agreements for the musicians, the creation of a timely aid assistance fund and the continuation of the lobbying with the government, these are the main highlights of 2011 ...
