Congratulations to our members

The Guilde would like to congratulate its members who were recently rewarded, including:

* Conductors Jacques Lacombe (Orchestre symphonique de Trois-Rivieres and New Jersey Symphony) and Boris Brott (McGill Chamber Orchestra and National Academy Orchestra), both recently installed as members of the Ordre National du Quebec.

* Violonist Bénédicte Lauzière won the $25,000 prize of the 2014 Prix d'Europe as well as the $5,000 award from the Fondation Père Lindsay.

* Pianist Jean-Michel Dubé won the Monik Grenier Prize and cellist Julie Hereish won the Béatrice-Kennedy-Bourbeau Prize at the 2014 Prix d'Europe.

* Pianist Charles-Richard Hamelin is the laureate of the 2nd Prize ($15,000) of the Montreal International Musical Competition, as well as the Prize for the Best Canadian Artist ($5,000).
