Send your position on Bill C-11 !

The Bill C-11 on the reform of the law on copyright is now in the hands of the legislative committee that has until March 29, 2012 to hear evidence and consider the draft article by article.

This is the last chance to remindto the governement that the rights of creators must be protected.  Culture Équitable, in which the GMMQ is implicated, invites all artists and cultural actors and all those who have at heart the future of culture to send a message to the legislative committee. By entering your zip code, the message will reach as the MP for your constituency. A copy will also be sent to James Moore Minister of Canadian Heritage, Industry Canada Christian Paradis and Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

It is important to remind the government that culture is part of the Canadian economy and its workers should not be excluded from the Act on copyright. We must of course allow access to the works but also the fair remuneration of creators who are the source.

We count on your participation!
