The summary of the @LON Project will be submitted at the end of October

Montreal, September 30, 2011 - The Forum @LON, held on 28 and 29 September in Quebec City and which Mylène Cyr, executive director of the GMMQ participated and was attended by about 80 people. The event was the opportunity for the government to present the next steps in the strategy to achieve concrete proposals in the field of digital technologies. After the wide consultation of the CALQ, the SODEC and the Ministry of Culture, Communications and the Status of Women each of these structures have developed scenarios of actions. A report summarizing the results of all steps taken under the Project @ LON and presenting the recommendations of the CALQ will be submitted to Christine St-Pierre, Minister of Culture, Communications at the end of October.
In her speech, Madam Minister announced the establishment of a new program of the CALQ that aims to encourage the use of digital technologies. With an annual budget of $500 000, the program will offer artists, writers, and cultural organizations, opportunities to develop new networks and access to expertise in digital technology.
